Introducing our new commercial due diligence service

Extending the features and benefits of our valuations service to another area that matters to your clients.

You are the first to hear about this!  We have so many loyal friends in the legal profession that it was crucial that we tell you before we tell the world.

Those of you who know Athla will be familiar with our company, shareholding and assets valuation service.  Over the last couple of years we have performed around 100 valuations and with that service now thoroughly established, I am pleased to announce that the next stage of the journey for Athla Capital Management is beginning.

As with our valuations service we have created a highest quality, due diligence service.  It has the same characteristics as our valuations service, namely being:

• Highly accurate
• Insightful and value added
• Fast and therefore
• Most cost effective than the alternatives by a significant factor.

And of course, fully covered by our professional indemnity insurance.

We have a great team of analysts and specialist contractors who we can call on at a moment’s notice to assist with your client’s due diligence needs.

Underpinning this team is our platform that, critically, improves the efficiency and speed of due diligence exercises whilst leaving the human in control.  One day “AI” will arrive safely in this area, but for now, we know that its applicability is limited.  What matters TODAY is getting due diligence performed better and more efficiently, so that it both helps clients to get what they need in a way that will still stand up in court.

In particular we can assist with due diligence around these areas:

• Management teams – with a particular focus on their abilities to deliver a business plan. (We can also arrange for referencing and verification checks).
• GDPR and cyber – this service will help your clients to spot weaknesses in and around their digital and physical activities and assist with understanding what risks are present based on the company’s current approach.
•  IP – not only do we have experts who can assess the intrinsic features of an IP portfolio, but we also have access to a global data lake of IP which enables us to contextualise an IP portfolio relative to the competition.
• Timing – we can assist your clients to understand whether they should act now, later or perhaps never in relation to a transaction.
• ESG, EDI and social value – as you will know cracking issues around these themes matters, but not necessarily in obvious ways. Our team includes experts in these areas who understand more than the headlines, including understanding what the financial risks could arise if such policies are not properly in place.
• Regulatory – this is an emerging area for us, but if your clients need help we can already perform a due diligence exercise to identify issues and we are working hard to build a panel of specific experts in the various areas of regulation who can assist on the “deep dive.”
• Commercial – this area has the widest remit. It is safe to say that if there is a commercial issue that needs checking out or validating, we have a team that can scope what is needed and then deliver it.

And finally, we have formed a relationship with a top 10 firm of accountants (with corporate finance expertise too) who will work with us to complete financial due diligence exercises.  We would love to show you how we will be working with this firm to make sure that financial due diligence is performed to the standards you and your clients require, both faster and in a way that everything thing is verifiable.

I am currently arranging meetings with law firms to have a catch up.  (Seven this week alone!).
